Studded Fin Tube for Waste Heat Boilers (ASTM A213 T9)

ASTM A213 T9 studded tubes, also referred to as studded fin tubes, are high-performance heat transfer components designed for demanding waste heat recovery applications. Manufactured from ASTM A213 T9 seamless alloy steel tubing, these tubes are equipped with uniformly welded steel studs on the outer surface to significantly increase the effective heat transfer area while maintaining excellent mechanical strength under elevated temperatures.

The addition of welded studs promotes turbulence in the gas stream, improves heat exchange efficiency, and minimizes fouling compared with plain tubes. These characteristics make ASTM A213 T9 studded tubes an excellent solution for waste heat boilers operating in high-temperature, high-pressure, and corrosive industrial environments.

Our studded tubes are manufactured using automated resistance welding equipment to ensure consistent stud spacing, strong weld integrity, in addition to reliable long-term performance. Every production batch is subjected to rigorous inspection procedures to meet customer specifications and applicable international standards.

With our humidity and year-round high temps, corrosion resistance and heat transfer are always a concern. These tubes have been performing nicely.

With high firebox temps and some sour gas in the mix, regular carbon tubes don't last. These have been solid.

Good oxidation resistance, matches well with the T9. No scaling or thinning noticed.
